Why this pathway exists

Hello I'm Lucy, founder of The Grief Studio and when I was 21 my mum died suddenly.

That loss reshaped my world and taught me, painfully and profoundly, that grief is not just something we think or feel, it’s something the body carries too. In the years that followed.

I trained in counselling, nutrition, and movement.

I wanted to join the dots between what I knew in my body and what I was learning in my work: that grief shows up everywhere, in the mind, the gut, and the muscles, and recovery has to support the whole person.

I created The Grief Studio to honour my mum’s life and to offer others what I wish I had at the time: someone who understood that all of me was impacted in grief. 

This is more than a practice to me. It’s a commitment, to care, to integrity, and to walking alongside people in their most tender seasons of life. It is also a place where all forms of grief are held; divorce, menopause, retirement, pet loss, gender identity grief, and all the life changes that include a sense of loss, meaning and purpose.

Here, professional practice meets lived compassion. Through The Grief Studio’s Wellbeing Pathway, I help people ease the physical and emotional strain of grief, reduce its impact on health and daily life, and find meaning and strength as you move forward.

The Grief Wellbeing Pathway is an integrated support method that addresses the emotional, physical and health toll during grief of all kinds.

​A pathway that brings together the support you need most, that tends to your grief through time talking, gentle lifestyle changes that make each day easier to face, and a nutritional pathway that calms the body.

​A completely bespoke approach combining all three strands of support as and when you need them, at a time when life is requiring you to walk through a storm.
